Pillows & Bronze

With Studio Musings Katherine has the opportunity to play with pillow ideas that are outside of the foundation series, which are all designed to overlap and interact with one another. These atelier pillows are often the standalone pieces that are, in the creative sense, works in progress, ideas that are spilling over and expressed as if they have a mind of their own.

Currently our Patina Collection is featured in Studio Musings.  “This group of images is close to my heart as the pillow fronts depict the insides and building processes of monumental sculpture.  I am very lucky to be able to wander the studios of sculptors I have known my entire life, chief among them of course, my father John Henry.  I love the way the interior shots of these soaring three dimensional giants refer back to the paintings of his early career.  Art is my life and it is a great honor to share my little insights in this home decor collection.”

Katherine Henry has been creating bronze vases for over 25 years and this work is represented in collections across the United States and in Europe.   For quite a few years she was only producing them as stand alone pieces,  However growing interest has led her to begin fabricating them in small editions and again offering them for sale.
